We take enormous pride in our breeding program and strive to create true representatives of the breed - regardless of whether they compete in conformation, performance, hunting, or lounging! We breed only after extensive review of pedigrees to create Goldens with exceptional temperaments, health, and longevity. The first step is filling out our puppy questionnaire, and as we learn more about you and what you want to do with your KatMar Golden, we can better match you with the perfect puppy. Our matching process is essential - and we do not place puppies in order of payment or deposits. We look at our new puppy homes as new members of our family, and make every effort to ensure that you take home the right dog for you.
We also take every step to make your puppy socialized and ready for anything. Whether faced with the sights, sounds, and smells of a conformation ring, the turf of an agility field, the firing of a shotgun, or your neighborhood sidewalk, we want to prepare our puppies to succeed in whatever they do. We place a strong emphasis on early neurological stimulation and tactile engagement. KatMar puppies will meet over one-hundred people before they join your home, and will have experienced a wide array of sounds and surfaces.
All of our puppies are whelped and raised in our homes and are taught appropriate puppy manners from all of our Goldens. They have a large, safe yard to play in when they are of an appropriate age. They do not live in a garage or our backyard - but our living room! We let them play, we let them get dirty, and we let them know they are part of our family.
As of August 1, 2022 we are now accepting applications. We do very limited breeding in a year but people tell us it is worth the wait for a KatMar Golden. We are very thankful to have such interest in our program!
